ByteDance Seed will set up a dedicated model-alignment and preparedness department, led by Yan Lin, to enhance safety alignment and mitigate risks associated with frontier capabilities in chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear. The new team will integrate members from the former Responsible AI and Chat teams to strengthen agent model security.
