Alibaba has appointed senior AI researcher Liu Dayiheng to lead its Qwen LLM team, following the departure of former head Lin Junyang in March, according to Alibaba Cloud's Aspara Conference website. Liu joined the Chinese tech giant in 2021 and was previously a member of Huawei's "Genius Youth" talent program.
