Trip.Com will launch a new cultural tourism initiative, the Splendid China Tech Carnival, which will run for about two months from late December in Shenzhen, amid growing interest in the city, with international flight bookings surging over 70% in the first quarter from a year earlier, according to the Chinese online travel agency. The project will feature drone performances, robot shows, interactive activities, AI-powered cultural programs, intangible cultural heritage, folk traditions, and Spring Festival customs.
