The second phase of French tire manufacturer Michelin’s Shanghai plant expansion come online today, lifting the factory’s annual capacity to 9.5 million tires, according to announcements made at a ceremony today. The project marks a major foreign investment initiative in Shanghai with total investment of CNY3 billion (USD431 million).
