Shanghai Deploys Fever Clinics as 'Front Line Posts' in Virus War(Yicai Global) April 2 -- Shanghai officially opened community fever clinics in nine community health service centers yesterday. The goal is to build them into 'front line posts' for the prevention and control of the new coronavirus pandemic by screening and separating fever patients in the community.
After identifying those running fevers, the health stations will not directly refer patients to the nearest hospital as before, but undertake the work of screening, registration, referral and tracking them. It will also carry out preliminary diagnosis and collect their epidemiological histories.
These community care centers will treat patients who can be on the spot in a timely manner. Special vehicles will ferry patients who need to be referred to the nearest hospital for further treatment.
