(Yicai Global) June 16 - The re-emergence of Covid-19 in Beijing has put Shanghai hospitals on red alert and they are taking corresponding measures, including extending the time for sampling and beefing up medical staff to increase the virus nucleic acid detection efficiency via an appointment system.

China's financial hub reported three more imported novel coronavirus cases yesterday -- taking the eastern metropolis' number of confirmed infections to 695 -- a day which saw no new confirmed domestically transmitted cases, the city's health commission said today.

The medical center is among the institutions for the detection of coronavirus via nucleic acid testing the government has designated. It has received nearly 200 people each day of late.
