(Yicai) Nov. 6 -- Shares of Triangle Defense surged by their daily trading limit after the Chinese forging and processing equipment supplier said it has agreed to provide components for a gas turbine project of Germany's Siemens Energy, making significant progress in its overseas expansion.

Triangle Defense [SHE: 300775] soared 20 percent to CNY30.59 (USD4.29) a share as of 2 p.m. today.

Triangle Defense penned a project and framework agreements with Siemens Energy and its Canadian unit to supply parts that meet the quality standards of the client, the Xi'an-based company announced late yesterday. It will also provide supporting tools, appliances, and equipment, it added.

Triangle Defense is a supplier of special alloy forgings, including various large-scale die and free forgings such as aircraft fuselage structural components and aero-engine discs. Its clients include manufacturers in the aviation, aerospace, and shipbuilding industries, with all of its revenue coming from the Chinese market last year, according to its annual earnings report.
