China’s Supply Chain Expo Adds New Zone to Showcase Full AI Ecosystem(Yicai) May 22 -- The China International Supply Chain Expo, slated for next month, will include a special artificial intelligence zone for the first time, presenting the full AI ecosystem from data collection and smart computing to real-world applications, according to its organizer.
The new AI zone will bring together leading Chinese and foreign AI companies such as Alibaba Group Holdings, Intel, Nvidia, and Qualcomm, Li Xingqian, vice chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the expo’s organizer, said at a press conference today. The zone is being jointly curated by the council and leading global semiconductor firms.
The fourth CISCE, to be held in Beijing from June 22 to 26 under the theme ‘Connecting the World for a Shared Future,’ will also showcase new achievements in upgrading traditional industries and will highlight the latest practices in emerging and future industries, Li said.
The Advanced Manufacturing pavilion, for example, will include a special zone on the low-altitude economy industrial chain, where nearly 30 leading firms will present the full industry ecosystem including cutting-edge technologies, innovative products, and future development trends, he said.
The Innovation Chain pavilion will present more scientific and technological achievements and help move them from laboratories into domestic and international markets, Li added.
Li said the main goal of this year’s exhibition design is to promote deeper integration between scientific and technological innovation and industrial innovation, advanced manufacturing and modern services, as well as the real economy and digital economy.
Launched in 2023, the CISCE is the world’s first national-level exhibition for supply chain cooperation. This year’s event features six industrial chain exhibition areas covering digital technology, advanced manufacturing, green agriculture, healthy living, smart vehicles, and clean energy, as well as a supply chain services pavilion. The new AI zone will be located within the digital technology area.
The organizer estimates that about 37 percent of exhibitors this year will be foreign companies, while more than 65 percent will be Fortune Global 500 companies or industry leaders. The total number of participating firms is expected to exceed 1,200, including upstream and downstream supply chain partners attending with exhibitors.
