(Yicai Global) July 29 -- China's mainland stock markets opened lower this morning, following a decline in the US market yesterday.

The Shanghai Composite Index opened 0.19 percent lower at 3,221.99. The Shenzhen Component Index was at 13,117.19, down 0.23 percent. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises in Shenzhen, dipped 0.25 percent to 2,659.94.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average dived 0.77 percent yesterday to 26,379.28; The NASDAQ Composite Index and the S&P 500 Index dropped 1.27 percent and 0.65 percent, respectively.
