(Yicai Global) Dec. 24 -- China's mainland stock markets opened slightly higher this morning after yesterday's big retreats.

The Shanghai Composite Index climbed 0.1 percent higher to 2,965.83. The Shenzhen Component Index was at 10,080.37, up 0.24 percent. The ChiNext Price Index, which tracks growth enterprises in Shenzhen, rose 0.36 percent to 1,742.89.
