(Yicai Global) Aug. 2 -- Beijing had disposed of 384,100 shared bikes in the city as of the end of June, according to the local transport commission.

The city earlier capped the number of such cycles at just over 1.9 million and will only reduce this figure, not increase it, the commission said yesterday.

Users went for an average 1.6 million rides a day with each bike being used just 1.1 times daily on average during the first half.
