China Eastern Airlines yesterday opened a new direct route between Shanghai and Copenhagen. The inaugural flight landed in the Danish capital city at 7 p.m. local time, where it was greeted with a traditional water salute. The new route will initially operate three flights a week on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, and will add a flight on Wednesdays on Sept. 24.
