China State Railway does not currently enforce checks on portable powerbanks and passengers may carry those under 100Wh without needing China Compulsory Certification (3C) -- a mandatory safety and quality certification system for products sold in the country -- China Central Television reported today. Since June 28, only powerbanks with the 3C logo can be taken aboard flights, following a ban by China's Civil Aviation Administration.
