US President Donald Trump declared a national emergency to impose 10% baseline tariffs on all trade partners effective April 5, with additional tariff charges on certain regions starting April 9, including 34% for China, 20% for the EU, and 46% for Vietnam. Effective today, Trump will also impose 25% tariffs on all imported cars. Under the new policies, China will face a 54% tariff rate.
