JD.com's founder and CEO Richard Liu said on his WeChat moment that over 1,200 delivery riders retired from the Chinese e-commerce giant last year, with each receiving hundreds of thousands of Chinese yuan, equivalent to tens of thousands of US dollars, in housing funds, an average monthly pension of CNY5,350 (USD740), and full healthcare coverage. Liu said this was his "biggest accomplishment" since he started his entrepreneurial journey 20 years ago.
