NEVs consumed 163 million kilowatt-hours of electricity at charging stations along highways in China over the week-long National Day holiday, averaging 23.26 million kWh per day, up 51% from a year earlier, according to data released by the National Energy Administration yesterday. China has installed around 89,000 charging facilities at expressway service areas.
