China's telecom sector revenue tumbled 2.2% in the first eight months from a year earlier to CNY1.2 trillion (USD172 billion), according to the MIIT. As of Aug. 31, the country had over 5.1 million 5G base stations and 1.3 billion 5G mobile users.
