Starbucks China today denied reports claiming that its paper cups and straws will be made by Mixue and that it will switch coffee bean suppliers as part of efforts to accelerate its supply chain localization in China, The Paper reported. Zhang Qing, former chief procurement officer of Sam's Club China, recently joined Boyu Capital, the controlling shareholder of Starbucks China, to lead Starbucks' supply chain transformation, including seeking domestic suppliers.
