Rumors that Chinese actor Huang Xiaoming invested CNY100 million (USD14.8 million) in Chinese memory chipmaker CXMT and will likely make CNY10 billion (USD1.5 billion) are false, Lanjinger reported yesterday, citing people familiar with the matter. The shareholder mentioned in the listing prospectus was a namesake former executive at Midea Group, whose indirect stake in CXMT is worth about CNY260 million, based on the IPO price.
