Xiaomi will double R&D spending to CNY200 billion (USD28.6 billion) over the next five years, Chairman Lei Jun said at an event yesterday. The electronics giant is set to achieve the convergence of its in-house chip, self-developed OS, and proprietary AI model in a single device this year.
