South Korea, Southeast Asia, and Europe are emerging as top picks for Chinese tourists’ year-end outbound travel over Japan. According to Tongcheng Travel, hotel bookings in South Korea jumped over 240% in the last two weeks of November from a year earlier, while bookings in Vietnam and Indonesia more than doubled. European destinations, such as Germany and Spain, saw bookings surge over 300%, with Denmark and Switzerland also up more than 200%.
