(Yicai Global) Jan. 30 -- Chinese electric vehicle startup Xpeng has named former Great Wall Motor’s executive Wang Fengying as its third co-president.

Effective immediately, Wang is responsible for product planning, product portfolio management, and sales operations, the EV maker said in a statement today. She reports to Chairman and Chief Executive He Xiaopeng.

Wang spent more than 30 years at Great Wall Motor and long headed the Hebei province-based automaker’s marketing operations. She stepped down as general manager last July amid an organizational restructuring of the firm.

Xpeng has two other joint presidents: Xia Heng, a co-founder of the Guangzhou-based company, and Gu Hongdi, who joined in March 2018.

On Jan. 18, He outlined plans at Xpeng's annual wrap-up meeting to achieve positive operating profit by 2025, and said he expects annual sales to reach 1.2 million units in 2027, nearly 10 times the level of sales last year.

Xpeng delivered 120,757 vehicles in 2022, up 23 percent on the previous year, ranking fourth among Chinese EV startups after Nezha, Li Auto and Nio. But the firm’s net loss widened 50 percent in the third quarter to CNY2.4 billion (USD339.5 million).
