(Yicai) April 16 -- Nearly one-third of Baidu’s codes that are newly written every day are generated by an artificial intelligence model, according to the founder of the Chinese internet giant.
Comate, the intelligent code assistant of Baidu’s large language model Ernie Bot, writes 27 percent of the company’s new daily codes, Robin Li said at the Baidu Create 2024 AI Developer Conference today when disclosing the latest progress of the LLM.
Ernie Bot has attracted more than 200 million users with an average of over 200 million application programming interface calls a day, noted Li, who is also Baidu’s chairman and chief executive officer. The LLM provides services to 85,000 enterprises.
The reasoning cost of Ernie Bot dropped to only 1 percent of that a year ago when it was launched, Li pointed out.
