(Yicai Global) Jan. 25 -- China's personal computer giant Lenovo Group will join hands with medical diagnostics firm B-Soft to promote the application of Internet of Things technologies in healthcare.
Lenovo Group penned a cooperation agreement with B-Soft, the Hangzhou-based medical tech firm said in a statement yesterday. Lenovo's Beijing unit and B-Soft may establish a joint venture in future, the statement added.
The pair aims to develop a big data platform involving cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and IoT technologies with the goal of improving service in traditional medical fields including rehabilitation and nursing homes. They will promote wearables, digital wards, pharmacies and intelligent healthcare management systems.
Founded in 1984, Lenovo makes computers, servers and mobile devices. The firm has headquarters in Beijing and Raleigh, North Carolina.
B-Soft, founded in 1997, provides Chinese hospitals with software and hardware for medical monitoring and disease control.
