(Yicai Global) April 13 -- Chinese robot vacuum cleaner startup Lesheng Intelligent Technology has finished its second fundraiser in the past year.

Lesheng completed its CNY200 million (USD31.4 million) Series A+ funding round, led by Shenzhen-based Fortune Venture Capital, tech news outlet 36Kr reported today.

The money will be spent on building the Dongguan-based startup's headquarters, as well as production and research facilities.

Founded in 2017, Lesheng is an original design manufacturer that has been making robot vacuums for other brands. Some of its major clients include China's Haier Group, Spain's Cecotec Conga, as well as Xiaomi's sub-brands Roidmi and Viomi.

Lesheng's shipments are predicted to rise to 2.5 million units this year, after growing about 20 percent each year in the past two years, according to the same news source. The firm has three plants and its headcount is about 1,500, some 200 of which work in research and development.

Last May, the startup closed its Series A round of funding, securing tens of millions of Chinese yuan. Fujian province-based WaveFront Ventures was the sole investor at that time. The proceeds from that fundraiser were spent on improving the startup's supply chain.
